GOING TO THE DOGS

I acquired this property a little more than 10 years ago, originally with the idea of developing a trophy deer hunting spot.  And while that is still a priority for me, and if I must say so myself, an achievement I realized, I still like my bird hunting.

This property is fantastic for working dogs.  Not just for hunting purposes, this property has everything a dog handler would want.

Thick cover, both natural cover as well as several hundred acres of CRP.  There are natural pockets of cover as well as plenty of water to keep your dogs hydrated.

The property has 3 natural springs running throughout the property as well as three large ponds, with the largest being over 10 acres.

The 10 acre pond, is a great little ā€œLā€ shaped pond, which holds its fair share of ducks, not to mention more than abundant crappie, large mouth bass, bluegill and perch.

During the summer this property is second to none for those of you desiring to keep your dogs sharp, and this property offers a very challenging opportunity for those of you wishing to hunt for birds during the hunting season.

Depending on the group, and time of the year,

I am willing to allow access to this property for dog trials, field test etc.

We are fortunate to be able to extend our seasons with a Wisconsin Game Farm Permit.  This allows us to release Pheasant and Quail year round.  However, upland bird hunting is not allowed until after the Deer Firearm Season is over.

To have a property that offers as much as this property, situated only about 2.5 hours from Milwaukee and the Twin Cities, an hour from Madison and about 3 hours from the Chicago land area, is truly a blessing.
